We always seek brilliant researchers passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Computational Neuroscience, Neuro-Robotics, Cognitive Science, or Neural Data Science to join our team. If you would like to know more about the opportunities at our Lab, please email us.

National Undergraduate, Graduate, and Masters

If you are studying a degree related to the topics we work mainly in Systems Engineering, Informatics, Engineering, or Physics (other profiles can also be considered), and you are interested in having a research and development experience with us, send us an email. Also, please check the following site for tentative research projects under our supervision: Thesis Data Base and Research Projects

International  Undergraduate, Graduate, and Masters

International students should have a similar profile to the one previously described. Ideally, the candidate must have secured funding for the research experience in our lab in the form of an international scholarship that covers the research stage in the lab. A limited number of funding resources can be considered but they are uncommon.  Short stays in the lab are also possible. The research topics would be discussed between the candidate and a potential mentor. The laboratory will not cover visa expenses or other settlement costs under any circumstances.

Doctoral (PhD) Opportunities - National or International students

The CONICET and CICPBA Doctoral Scholarship Programs for 2024 are open for students close to graduating or graduates from Argentine or foreign universities. These programs are oriented to conduct first-level studies and at the international level to develop research work in any discipline. We seek candidates in Systems Engineering / Computer Science, Physics, Robotics, Computational Neuroscience, Cognitive Sciences, or related sciences.  A good academic level is a requirement to carry out doctoral studies within the framework of the Doctorate in Computer Science from UNCPBA, in one of the research topics we develop (not exclusive). Further information (in Spanish) can be found at News.

Potential candidates should contact us at least a couple of weeks ahead of the end of the application period (pre-registration date) -- see the 'How To Apply' section.

Requirements:

Have completed the undergraduate degree before the starting date; career score above the historical career average (typically greater than  7.5 or equivalent); no more than 2 (two) course-failed scores within the career. National or international students.

— Essential: Passion for working on scientific and technological projects. Being a good team member.

— Essential: Full-time dedication to this position.

— Essential: Be able to settle and live in the city of the hosting institution (e.g., at Olavarría or Tandil, Buenos Aires, Argentina).

Post-Doctoral Opportunities  - National or International students

Above all, potential candidates will demonstrate enthusiasm to contribute new knowledge, openness to learning new approaches, and willingness to contribute to a multidisciplinary Lab. The successful applicant will receive multi-disciplinary research training at the interface between AI, machine learning, and neuroscience.

Applicants should have a PhD (or submitted at the time of appointment) and a solid academic track record in a relevant area (e.g., Neuroscience, Neural Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering). Programming skills are highly desirable, and experience with machine learning, data science, computational neuroscience, and robotics is highly beneficial.

Ideally, prospective candidates should have their funding in the face of international scholarships or similar to start the research activity as soon as possible. Otherwise,  we will proceed with requesting a CONICET and CICPBA Doctoral Scholarships which would require between 6-12 months at least to get news.

International students - Documentation for long or short stays in the lab and visa requirements

Please make sure that you fulfill all the criteria according to your situation: admission criteria/Visa

The laboratory will not cover visa expenses or other settlement costs under any circumstances.
